I loved making this LO the colors were great to work with and I could rave on and on about how proud I am of my son.

and the journaling reads ...
I have watched you struggle as you’ve come to learn and deal with your Poppy’s illness but as you understood the situation more you really kept your chin up and stayed as positive as you possibly could. When you saw the advert on TV for the Worlds Greatest Shave to raise money for the Leukaemia foundation you immediately said ‘I want to do that and be bald like my Poppy so he isn't the only bald one in the family.’ I was speechless hearing this and couldn't think of a nicer thing for you to do for your Poppy. We went onto the Shave web page and ordered your fundraising book and got straight to work. The shave date wasn't until March 14th but you didn't want to wait any longer as every time you saw your Poppy he was loosing more and more hair. After a good two days of hearing you plead with me to shave your head early I decided to go ahead and shave it all off! You were so good sitting there patiently as I took my time and tried to do a good job. Within a few minutes all your hair was gone and you were sporting a neat and tidy shaved head. At first i was concerned that you wouldn't like it as you are very self conscious about your ears but after a couple of looks in the mirror you were very happy with the results and busting to go and show Poppy your new hairstyle. Your Daddy took you up to the hospital the next day and Poppy was very happy with what you did. Daddy snapped some pics of the two of you and we had the photo published in the school newsletter along with the story of your fundraising efforts. It generated so much interest that there is now a group of boys from your school all shaving their heads on March 14th to help you raise so more money. I don't think I will ever be able to express just how proud I am of you Joshua, your kind heart truly amazes me.
